Aleksei Vyzhanov’s musical life began in Russia, where he received his early training at the Central Music School of the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory before continuing at the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory. Formed within the Russian classical piano tradition, his training was shaped by a deep emphasis on sound, discipline, technical foundation, musical architecture, and long-term artistic development.
He later brought that background to the United States, earning an Artist Diploma in Piano Concert Performance from Texas Christian University and continuing his doctoral studies at the University of North Texas College of Music.
As a performer, Vyzhanov has appeared as a soloist and collaborative pianist in Russia, Europe, and the United States. He was selected for the St. Petersburg House of Music’s “River of Talents” program and has performed with orchestras including the Tambov Symphony Orchestra, the Academic Symphony Orchestra of the Voronezh Philharmonic, and the Academic Symphony Orchestra of the Nizhny Novgorod Philharmonic.
Alongside performance, his work expanded into music education and academic environments. During his doctoral studies at the University of North Texas, he has held a Teaching Fellow position, continuing his work in higher education while deepening his perspective on advanced music training.
Beyond the university setting, Vyzhanov serves as Artistic Director of Inplay School of Music, where his work includes curriculum planning, faculty support, teacher recruitment, student experience, and school operations.
He is also the founder and CEO of InplayStream, an AI-powered music education platform shaped by his direct experience as a performer, teacher, and school leader. The platform grew out of a problem he repeatedly saw in music education: lessons can be strong, but the learning often becomes disconnected once students begin practicing alone.
